Alliance Whisky was hand-selected by Ryan Engen to be released in the Wine & Beyond stores. After testing a few barrels from our head distiller, Garret Haynes, this batch stood out from the crowd. In cohesiveness with our previous releases, we chose the name from Alberta Grain Elevators; those still standing and those that are not- Alliance being one of them. Alliance, by definition, describes a relationship based on a harmony of interests, qualities, and mutual benefits. This is why it was selected for the exclusive collaboration with Wine and Beyond.
This release was all taken from Barrel # 131. It has been aged for 37 months in a #2 Char new American white oak barrel. It would be considered a corn whisky, similar to bourbon (but not native to where bourbon is crafted in order to give it the official name). The grain bill was 72% Corn, 17% Rye Malt, 11% 2-row barley malt. The whisky is at cask strength with an impressive ABV of 56.6%.Â
