Elevator Row Single Malt Whisky is influenced by one of Troubled Monk’s core beers, Pesky Pig Pale Ale. A favourite product amongst many, and one of Troubled Monk’s top branded beers, this respectable session ale’s hop profile nicely balances its malt backbone.
The spirit of Frances the Pig and the essence of our pale ale is celebrated in this small batch whisky release. Elevator Row opens the gate to let the speciality malt of Pesky Pig rise to fame and shine. When head distiller, Garret Haynes, rewrote this recipe for distillation, he used Pesky Pig’s mash bill for inspiration, tripling the speciality dark munich malt so notes of golden raisin, and dried fruits would sing in the finished spirit.
Made with a combination of 2-row, and dark munich malt, this small batch whisky was matured for 43 months in #3 and #4 charred New American Oak barrels. Released at cask strength, so you can experience the full aromatics and flavour of Elevator Row right out of the barrel.
GrainHenge’s second release is a whisky with an honourable tale. The spirit of Francis the Pig continues to live on with our newest release, Elevator Row Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky. Read More

“This is classic single malt and reminds me of “the good old days” of Scotch when 8 years old was considered perfection. I think the beer malt boosts the flavour making it seem more mature than it might otherwise.”

“Elevator Row is a slice of spicy caramel Christmas cake. It’s a must have in my opinion.”
